Obituary of Jimmy Fields

Jimmy Fields, 72, Morgantown, IN, formerly from Swayzee, IN, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at home.  Jimmy was born on August 9, 1946, in Hazard, KY, to Jasper and Olga Fields.  He graduated from Swayzee High School in 1964.  He married his loving wife and very best friend, Tanya Fields, on December 18, 1981, spending 38 loving years together.  He was a supervisor at Dana Corporation, where he retired after 45 years of dedicated service.  He was a great friend and colleague to many and never met a stranger.

Throughout his life, Jimmy enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards, and tending to his pets, Nacho and Rainy.  Jimmy loved riding his golf cart around his property and especially loved to spend time on the back porch of his home with his wife.  He was immensely proud of the life he and his wife built together.  He cherished his daughter and was extremely proud of everything his two granddaughters accomplished.  Jimmy brought love, life, and laughter to all who were lucky enough to know him.  He is deeply missed and his family will hold his memory in their hearts for eternity.

Survivors include his loving wife, Tanya Fields; his daughter, Kaloha (Ross) Allen, Morgantown; his two granddaughters, Chelsea Allen, Morgantown, and Marina (Clint Blackburn) Allen, Indianapolis, who were the loves of his life; his four brothers, Donald (Marilyn) Fields, Dennis (Bobbie) Fields, Lenard Fields, and Kenneth (Betty) Fields; his dear friend, Wayne Bragg; and his beloved horse, Rainy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Olga Fields; his father-in-law, Paul Closser; his mother-in-law, Jackie Closser; his sister-in-law, Phyllis Fields; his dear friend, Tony Sandoval; and his beloved pet donkey, Nacho.
