Obituary of Deboral L. Williams
Deboral “Debbie” L. Williams went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on July 20, 1947, to Eldo and Dorothy Peer and was raised by her loving grandmother, Anna Lee Gray.
Debbie retired from Foster Forbes as an inspector. A gifted baker and caterer, Debbie took a position with Peace & Plenty Catering. As a dedicated Christian, she also used her catering skills in tireless service for Westside Assembly of God, and then for New Life Community Church Assembly of God. Debbie organized and served many meals for the church and families with illnesses and bereavement needs. She loved serving her community. She had a love for baking and made the most delicious cakes for family and friends’ weddings, anniversaries, baby showers, birthdays, and graduations.
She leaves to mourn her loss her ex-husband, Harold Williams; 3 children, Brian, Corina, and Angela (Jeremiah); 5 step-children, Steve, Kimberly, Crystal, Teresa, and Fawn; sister, Gloria (Forrest) Drook; brother, Richard (Barbara) Rider; half-brothers, Jim (Kathy) Peer and Junior Peer; half-sister, Linda Brown; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Annie Ellen Peer and Sheila Dawn Watson.
Celebration of Debbie’s life will begin with a viewing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at New Life Community Church, 2011 W. 10th St., Marion, IN. The funeral service will directly follow with Pastor Dave Grieve officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
