Obituary of Judy D. Hults
On Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at 5:37 a.m., Judy D. (Sanders) Hults passed away in her Marion home. She was born in Black Diamond, Alabama, to the late James and Ester (Wilson) Sanders.
On September 14, 1985, Judy married Wayne L. Hults. She began working at Foster-Forbes and was a machine operator for 20 years. She then worked at Pizza Hut, starting out as a waitress and then eventually being promoted to a management position. She worked there for 10 years. Additional places of employment included Carey Services (6 years) and then Marion High School, where she was a cook in the cafeteria.
Judy was always a hard-working woman and a fighter! She was a five-time cancer survivor (five different types) over a period of 20 years. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling, going to casinos, going to the beach, as well as floating around in her pool at home.
She will be missed by her husband of nearly 34 years, Wayne; sons: Keith (Karen) Sanders-Anderson, Marion; Brian (Ashley) Hults, TN; Roger (Penny) Anderson, Marion; Derek (Aimee Chambers) Anderson, Marion; Jeff Hults, Wabash; Joe Spivey, Marion; grandchildren, Tim (Amber) Sanders, Brittney Sanders, Alissa (Brian) Davis, Ali Anderson, Alise Anderson, Maggie Anderson, Phoebe Anderson, CK Hults, Jimi Hults, Gage Davis, Mason Davis, Phillip Hults, Elena Hults, Trever Philebaum; great-grandchildren, Hayden Sanders, Mia Sanders, Daxton Davis, Kallen Sanders; sister, Darlene (Tom) Bryan, Elwood; best friend, Theresa (Carl) Grant-Weatherly, Marion; sister-in-law, Ann Sanders, Elwood; several nieces and nephews; and her dog daughter, Joy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Bobbie Whitacker, Carolyn Musselman, Patsy Casto, and Sylvia Busto, as well as three brothers, Harold, Tommy, and Ronnie Sanders.
The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with Judy’s funeral service beginning at 12 noon on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger will be officiating with burial following at Grant Memorial Park.
