Obituary of Wilma "Lucille" Robinson
Wilma "Lucille" Robinson, 96, of Gas City, passed away at 7:47 am on Sunday, September 8, 2019, at Twin City Health Care in Gas City. She was born in Kokomo on September 27, 1922, to the late Harvey and Anna Degler. On January 14, 1943, Lucille married James Milton Robinson. They shared 61 years together before he preceded her in death on June 19, 2014.
Lucille was a graduate of Kokomo High School. She enjoyed traveling and had sold Avon products for 24 years, gaining the title of Team Leader. She liked playing games, especially with her family and friends. She loved the dogs she had owned over the years and always held animals dear to her heart. Lucille was a loving, kind, and generous woman who got along with everyone she met.
Survivors include her son, James "Wylie" (Jeri) Robinson of Gas City; three granddaughters, Misty (Harry) Grose, Angie Robinson, and Sarah Robinson; four grandsons, David (late Stacey) Dunning, Corey (Becca) Robinson, Chad Robinson, and Scott Robinson; plus several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents and loving husband, Lucille was preceded in death by her son, David Alan Robinson; daughter, Dolores Jean (Robert) Henkle; two brothers, Gilbert and Russell; and sister, Dorothy.
A graveside service to celebrate Lucille's life will begin at 11:30 am on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at Grant Memorial Park, 1606 W. 26th St., Marion, IN. Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger will be officiating with burial following.
