Obituary of Roxie Ann Turner

April 1, 1957 ~ October 17, 2019

Roxie Ann Turner, 62, Fairmount, passed away at 8:18 pm on Thursday, October 17, 2019, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center. She was born in Marion on Monday, April 1, 1957, to the late James and Lois (Martin) Davis. On Valentine's Day in 1996, she married her loving husband, Brian Mike Turner, and he preceded her in death on September 3, 2007.

Roxie attended Mississinewa Community Schools and worked in home healthcare prior to her becoming disabled. She loved life and especially her family and friends. Her love for her sons was unending, and she was always there for them. She had a special man in her life whom she loved dearly, Wendell Gerstorff, and she loved her grandchildren, who were also very special to her. She was very close to her long-time friend of 48 years, Harriet Ritter. They could pretty much tell what each other was thinking most of the time.

Bingo and Yahtzee were her favorite pastimes. She was so lucky at Bingo, which she played mostly at Round Robins and Eagles in Alexandria. She played Yahtzee with friends and her late sister, Connie. Roxie was a member of the American Legion Post 95 in Jonesboro for many years, where she made many friends.

Roxie will also be remembered for her sense of humor and a laughter that was priceless. She was a great caregiver for many, very kind, and gentle. She had a special place in many hearts and will be missed but never forgotten.

She is survived by her sons, Rickey Reynolds and Christopher Reynolds; granddaughters, Raelyn Reynolds and Cheyenne Davis; grandsons, Rickey Reynolds, III, Dalton Davis, and Deon Reynolds; brothers, Don (Marilyn) Davis, Mike Davis, and Jack (Robin) Dunn; and sister, Connie (Bruce) Lawill.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Anthony Davis; granddaughter, Breanna Reynolds; sister, Mable Davis; and sister-in-law, Sue Davis.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, October 25, 2019, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a funeral service to celebrate Roxie's life will begin at 1:00 pm. Pastor Mick Simpkins will be officiating with entombment following at Grant Memorial Park.
