Obituary of Laretta Faye (Caudill) Pinkleton Baughman

Laretta "Faye" (Caudill) Pinkleton Baughman, 80, of Marion, passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family at 11:50 pm on Sunday, October 20, 2019. She was born in Lee County, Virginia, on Tuesday, July 25, 1939, to Willie and Myrtle (Day) Caudill. Faye married her first husband, Rev. William "Bill" S. Pinkleton, and he preceded her in death in 1990. She later married her second husband, Pastor Larry Lee Baughman, and he preceded her in death in 2018.

Faye graduated from Lynch High School in Lynch, Kentucky. After moving to Indiana, she worked as an inspector for 30 years with Foster Forbes, retiring in 1996. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church for many years. Faye enjoyed going shopping, playing puzzle games on the computer, and singing. She was an excellent baker and made many pies over the years. She was always fond of the many cars she owned and always drove them fast. She will be remembered as everybody's sweetheart. She was a very social woman who had many friends, and she will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her daughters, Marilee Pinkleton of Milton, DE, and Teresa Ann Pinkleton of Marion; sons, Dean (Lori) Pinkleton of Brandon, FL, and Don Baughman of Indianapolis; two women whom she loved as daughters, Bonnie (Jeff) Tinsley and Darla Kay (Doug) Turner, both of Marion; brother, David Caudill; sisters, Sharon (Emery) Bailey, Alice (William) DeBoard, and Phyllis Adams; her best friend, Barbara (Ed) Hall; as well as many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents and loving husbands, Faye was preceded in death by her daughter, Ann (Christopher) Ross; brothers, Wilson Caudill and Tandy Caudill; sister, Mattie (Jimmy) Gibbs; and infant sister, Norma Sue Caudill.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 24, 2019, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Faye's life will begin at 1:00 pm with Rev. Bruce Koontz officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
